Data Warehousing Programmer/Analyst Responsibilities: Evaluate business request to determine feasibility, identify opportunities for alternatives and recommend optimal solutions. Identify data and functional requirements in the analysis and design of new/enhanced systems and determine the primary functions a project is to provide. Translate a business requirement into a technical design specification. Analyze, extract and load data into data warehouse databases. Support the data warehouse, work with ETL tools. Must have experience with SQL. Develop, test and implement processes from technical design specification. Effectively present information and respond to questions from project managers and teams. Assist with the planning, analysis, design, development and implementation of one or more projects. Identify and resolve issues and risks throughout the project life cycle. Communicate progress on a regular basis. Independently work on concurrent project tasks. Coordinate and participate in the analysis of revisions, changes, enhancements, testing, documentation and communication of application enhancements. Requirements: Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Computer Science and/or related discipline from a four year college. 3-5 years Information Systems experience; Strong programming skills in UNIX, SQL and C or C++ are required. C++, Informix 4gl, ESQL/C, OOD and OOP, shell scripting, PeopleSoft, are all beneficial. Oral presentation and written communication skills required. Strong organizational skills required. Strong knowledge of object-oriented application development principles, theories and concepts desired. Experience with Microsoft Office desktop application software desired.
