SQL Server DBA
Responsibilities: Client is looking for a full-time SQL Server DBA. The primary responsibility of this position includes administration and control of data resources - data warehouse and data marts. Other responsibilities include the maintenance and administration of MS SQL database servers and clusters, tables, fields, and indices, as well as the administration and support of any interfaces between internal databases and external applications. Additional responsibilities include performance tuning, data integrity, maintenance, backups, and security. Degree in Computer Science or a related field, and three to five years experience with VLDB, SQL performance analysis and tuning, log shipping, replication, SQL clustering, fail-over to remote site, scalability and reliability issues, data mining, T-SQL scripting, bcp, DTS and Vision monitoring. A strong working knowledge of a variety of web technologies, business intelligence, ETL tools and ERP systems, including but not limited to: NSB Merchandising, Sales Audit, CRM (NSB Merchandworks), Business Objects, and Informatica PowerCenter is also required.
