Project Manager-Development Responsibilities: The Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating activities of designated projects to ensure goals and objectives of the project are accomplished within the prescribed time frame by performing the following duties personally or through others: Using established project methodology, work with external organizations to determine scope of project; Using established project methodology, work with external organizations for identifying tasks, estimates and resources to build project plan; Using established RUP methodology, coordinate activities of cross departmental personnel assigned to project from Planning and Inception through Implementation; Using established methodology, work with external organizations for identifying and resolving interdependencies, issues and change requests; Schedule and facilitate weekly status meeting, focusing on project status, issues, risk and changes of scope; Using established procedures, coordinate the documentation, and resolution of issues; Using established procedures, coordinate the documentation, estimation and scheduling of change requests; Using established production support procedures, coordinate activities of personnel assigned; Display an aptitude for customer service in responding to requests from project sponsor for changes to project scope; Work with project sponsor to determine priorities and scheduling of changes to project scope; Using established procedures, provide timely status reports to Project Sponsor; Analyze and identify process deficiencies and recommend management solutions to maximize efficiencies. The Data Warehouse Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and tracking activities for assigned development projects. This individual is ultimately responsible for completion of projects that meet the project goals and objectives within the scheduled timeframe. Specific duties include: Developing project charters and communication plans. Coordinating the development of the initial project approach & ensuring updates are made as needed. Managing overall project issues & risks and escalating as appropriate. Communicating with the business sponsors, I.S. Management, and the project team through email, weekly status reports, meetings, and additional as-needed communications. Coordinating all project activities with peers, subordinates, managers and supervisors. The Web Portal Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating Web Portal development projects to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within defined constraints. Essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to: Build and manage task-level project plans with clear organization and structure. Interpret high-level business requirements from an end-user perspective. Review Web Portal screen designs and useability. Manage issues, risks, and change requests. Manage a small team of software engineers. Coordinate with other departments. Demonstrate good customer/business focus in decision making. Bachelors Degree or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school AND three years related experience in software development; OR five or more years related experience in software development. Experience with IBM WebSphere Portal and/or Stellent Content Management is a plus. Experience with externalized security infrastructures (e.g. LDAP) is a plus. Preference will be given to St. Louis-based candidates and there is no visa processing available for this job, only US citizens or green card holders will be considered.
